Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam
Bao Lac Market, in northern Vietnam, brings together the Tay, Dao, Nung, Hmong, San Chi and Black Lolo ethnic groups.
The market takes place every five days, according to the lunar calendar.
This meeting place, where people come to trade and exchange, is a celebration of colour and life.
The ethnic minorities living in this region make their own traditional clothing, which they wear with great pride.
Adorned with embroidery, decorative trims and jewellery, each ethnic group has its own distinctive attire, making it possible to identify which group they belong to.

Les minorités Ethniques qui peuplent cette région confectionnent elles mêmes leurs habits traditionnels qui sont portés avec fierté.
Orné de broderies, de galons, de bijoux, chaque minorité possède sa tenue, ce qui permet de déterminer à quel groupe elle appartient.
