Cyanotypes in Provence
Laetitia studied art history and heritage conservation before spending two years in England, followed by two years in New Zealand.
Upon her return, she settled in the Luberon, where she opened her own event floral design studio.
The adventure lasted twenty years, until, in 2019, this fifty-something artist decided to embark on a new path: creating cyanotypes. This 19th-century photographic process, a true precursor to modern photographic printing, predates the invention of silver-based photography.
The artist takes us through the different stages of this craft, which she first fell in love with 30 years ago, and shares with us the vision and deeper meaning that this practice has come to embody for her.
A way of paying tribute to “Mother Nature,” while seeking to create a deeper connection with oneself through her creations.
